A little about yoga at At One
Yoga is an ancient health system that dates back over 5000 years. Yoga means to yoke or "to unite". Yoga originated in India. Over the centuries yoga has transformed and reinvented itself several times over. Today yoga is practiced for many reasons. Improving physical health, creating mental clarity and achieving peace and spiritual realization are just a few of the benefits of a regular practice. The roots of our yoga program are embedded in the Ashtanga Yoga system, as created by Pattabhi Jois. We offer five core At One Yoga brand classes Basics, Deep Stretch, Flow, Power, and Restorative. In addition, we offer several specialty classes and programs to enhance the At One Yoga lifestyle and benefit the At One Yoga community. These include Ashtanga, Kids, Mommy & me, Prenatal, Meditation and Tai Chi. In addition to yoga At One offers several other programs including Massage Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture, Workshops, Retreats and Student Intensives. Each of these programs is designed to complement the yoga that we provide in order for you to achieve a healthy, happy lifestyle.

Attending Your First Class
Once you have chosen the first class that you will be attending, arrive at the studio about ten minutes prior to the scheduled start time. You will be asked to fill out a short waiver, then you will receive a tour of the studio and your welcome packet. Let the teacher know you are a new student and if you have any special physical circumstances or old injuries.
- What to wear wear comfortable clothing. It may be loose fitting, but not too loose on top as it may fall when doing forward folds. All of our classes are done barefoot.
- Mats bring a yoga mat if you have one. If you do not, we have yoga mats for rental or for sale at all of our studio locations.
- Perfume please refrain from wearing perfume or other strong smelling fragrances.
- Once class has started you may not enter a yoga class more than 15 minutes after it has begun. The warm up period is over and the likelihood of injury is much greater. You may leave at any time to use the restroom, to get water or if you do not feel well. At all times please be respectful of the class in session. If you will need to leave the class early, please let the instructor know prior to the beginning of class.
- Food do not eat for 3-4 hours prior to the beginning of class. Water during class is optional, but be sure to drink plenty afterward.
